Pauper's Pizza Party

Pizza wasn't the original plan for this evenings post, Beer Battered Fish and Onions was. However, my husband, being unaware that I hadn't yet copied the pictures off my SD card onto my computer yet and he ignorantly erased them. He apologizes for the lack of a slightly tastier, all-be-it more complicated, meal this evening. (n00b). So, Raid Night LAN Party it is! These simple pizzas made on top of English Muffins are quick and versatile. When my husband, Zharian, and I game together it's nice to keep the kids distracted so there aren't any unexpected wipes. Too many times we have been the cause of a group wipe while he is tanking, and I'm healing, (so cliche I know! But he really stinks at healing, even if I make a decent tank /facepalm) because the kids come in yelling or yanking on our arms. The best way to distract kids is to keep them occupied with something they like and what kid doesn't like pizza? Sure some may not like Pepperoni and others may prefer Hawaiian. Even if you have a kid, or friend who is Vegan, there is a way to make a pizza that's right for them. Here are a few different kinds I was able to pull together with what I had in my refrigerator tonight.

Unfortunately I did not have any pineapple to make a true Hawaiian pizza, but the Ham tasted great by itself with Barbecue Sauce instead of regular Pizza Sauce. The Veggi pizza is boasting Ranch Dressing as it's sauce of choice as well. Of cours
e, the only thing that can make kids, or guests, happier than their own personalized pizzas for dinner, is an awesome dessert.

Two are made with Cream Cheese Frosting as the 'sauce' and the third is Peanut Butter. Two have Strawberry Jam and Powdered Sugar, and I gave one the optional addition of Strawberries. And yes, those are Peanut M&M's topping the Peanut Butter. These are all just ideas, so be creative with what you have around your kitchen! These super easy pizza pies will only cost about $1.30-$2.00 per serving. That wont break the bank when you are trying to please a crowd!

Pauper's Pizza Party
4 Servings | Total Time: 20 Minutes | Skill: Journeyman

Mats
  • 6 English Muffins
  • 1/4 cup Pizza Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • Toppings of your choice
Craft: Preheat oven to 375°. Cut English Muffins in half and begin toasting them in a toaster. When they are done toasting top with about a tablespoon of Pizza Sauce. Sprinkle Mozzarella Cheese evenly on top of the sauce. Add toppings of your choice. Place on a cookie sheet and cook in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Strategies: The only part of this recipe that should stay are the English Muffins and Cheese, (you can even trade out Mozzarella for Cheddar if that is what you have!) Everything else can go up in the Trade Channel! The sauce can be substituted for anything with the word 'sauce' or 'dressing' accompanying it! Pesto sauce, Ranch dressing, Barbecue sauce, Alfredo sauce just to name a few. The toppings are endless also!
Go sweet with it and use frosting, jams, or anything else spreadable as the base and add sweets too your hearts desire. Fruits and chocolates are common toppings for dessert pizzas!

LFM: Salad or buffalo wings are fabulous dishes to serve with these pizzas.

  1. Don't skip the toasting part if you want a nice crispy crust. If you don't care for crispy crusts then you can skip that part.
