Bilgewater Buccaneer Brownies

No, these brownies will not explode, even though they're named after the Bilgewater Buccaneers football team. And I don't think they will stop Deathwing from making your private island volcano explode either but you never know! They are pretty tasty. Maybe all Deathwing needs is a little love in the form of football brownies. Sorta like the only thing Darth Vadar wanted was a cookie!

Bilgewater Buccaneer Brownies

12-16 Servings | Total Time: 1 hour | Journeyman

Mats:
  • 1 2/3 cups Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Butter, melted
  • 2 Tbl Water
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/3 cups Flour
  • 3/4 cup + 1 Tbl of Baking Cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 Tbl Milk
  • Tube of White Icing with decorating tip
Craft: Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9x13 in baking pan. In a large bowl mix sugar, butter and water. Stir in eggs and vanilla. In a separate bowl combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Pour batter into the baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out slightly sticky. Immediately place a large cookie sheet on top of the baking pan and gently flip to remove the brownies from the pan. Let cool completely.

While the brownies cool, mix powdered sugar, milk and 1 Tbl of the Baking Cocoa in a small bowl. Add more milk for thinner frosting or more powdered sugar for thicker. When the brownies are cooled, cut them into rough diamond shapes. Spread each piece with a thin layer of brown icing. Let it sit for a few minutes to harden then using the white decorative icing to add laces to each 'football'. One long line then three short lines across.

Strategies: You will have leftover pieces of brownies by the time you're done cutting out all the brownies. These make great snacks too! Roll them up into small balls, coat in powdered sugar and put a toothpick in them. You can make these a day before you need them but remember to cover them so they don't dry out.
