Kodo Wing Sauce & Westfall Ranchero Dip

It's Super Bowl weekend! But whether you're watching the game or getting that alt another couple levels, you're gonna need some snack food. These are two perfect sauces to compliment whatever you've got to dip in them!


Kodo Wing Sauce is perfect for dipping chicken fingers, chicken wings, mini sausages, or other meaty treats. Be warned though, this stuff is best eaten with a big glass of water within reach. Then, on the opposite end of the spectrum you'll find the cool and creamy Westfall Ranchero Dip. Perfect for chips, veggies and even for cooling off those chicken fingers that you just dipped into the Kodo Wing Sauce!

Kodo Wing Sauce

6-10 Servings | Total Time: 5 Minutes | Apprentice

Mats:
  • 1/3 cup Hot Pepper Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/2 Tbl White Vinegar
  • 1/2 Tbl Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Cornstarch
Craft: Whisk all the ingredients together in a small bowl. Pour into a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly. Let it boil for 1 minute then remove from heat. Makes 1/2-3/4 cup.

Strategies: If you want to cool down this recipe to a more mild temperature use 1/4 cup Hot Pepper Sauce and 1/4 cup of water mixed with 1 tsp Flour. To save time, you can always make this sauce a day or two before you plan to serve it.

LFM: Perfect for anything meaty like chicken fingers, wings, or even dribbled on top of pizza or tacos.

Westfall Ranchero Dip


10-12 Servings | Total Time: 5 Minutes | Apprentice

Mats:
  • 1/2 cup Mayo
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 package Ranch Dip Mix
  • 4 slices Bacon, cooked, crumbled
Craft: In a small bowl mix together Mayo, Sour Cream and Milk. Add Cheese and Ranch Mix. Stir until combined. Add crumbled bacon and stir one more time. Let sit for at least 1 minute to allow it to thicken. Chill in the refrigerator or serve immediately. Makes about 1 cup.


Strategies: To save time you can always make this dip a day or two before you plan to serve it. You can save a little money by using bacon bits instead of real bacon pieces.


LFM: Excellent dip for veggies or chips. It can also be used as a spread for sammiches.
