Nothing is better than the smell of baking bread permeating the household while you're grinding out a few levels on your alt in Terokkar Forest. Unless of course that bread is also mixed with the smell of baking blueberries. I don't particularly like blueberries. At least not raw. Unless they're in an awesome parfait where the texture is disguised by yogurt. But drop those blueberries inside something for cooking and mmmMMMmmm. It's good!
This is one of those perfect breakfast foods. I don't know about you but I am NOT a morning person. I need to ease into my day by doing something mindless. I also can't eat breakfast right away. Still not sure why, but breakfast as soon as you wake up just doesn't appeal to me. So I make this batter the night before then fold in the blueberries in the morning and pop it in the oven. Then I have a whole hour to go help some poor refugees down in the Bone Wastes. About the time the bread is done, I'm awake enough for food. And mighty tasty food it is.

ReplyDeleteHey, I'm just starting to use egg substitute. I noticed you said you could use it in this recipe. Can you tell a difference in the taste of the baked goods?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love the fact that you put the cost per item in the recipes! I've not seen too many people do that before. Very handy.

ReplyDeleteWhen baking with egg substitute there's no detectable difference in taste or texture. It's a fabulous way to lower the calories and cholesterol on your baked goods!
